Modification Motors Honda Crosstourer Concept 11

The Crossrunner represents the best aspects of two separate biking genres: the flexibility and exciting attitude of a Naked performance machine with the upright riding position and rugged appearance of an adventure bike.
The Crossrunner mix is more than that, though. This machine has an 800cc V4 motor that provides a thrilling riding experience, be it for short urban trips or for covering vast distances.
Extensive customer research indicated that whilst buyers liked the appearance and the image of adventure bikes, for some the compromised stability caused by long travel suspension, tall seat heights and dual purpose tyres was a serious deterrent. The research revealed that customers wanted a machine that had a unique stylish image and was also great fun to ride in all conditions throughout the year - whether that be on short trips around town or on long rides out across country.

The Spanish king of custom bike builders, Ferry Clot, can’t stay away for long without astonishing us with his buzzing exhibits of great detail. The winner of the 2009 world championship custom, Ferry Clot after making Panafina almost touch the ground even with its 23? wheels is back with his latest creation named Ramera. The customized bike exhibits a great amount of detail with its Retrofuturo, S & S Engine 96 with system feeding a two-carburetor double body. Modification Motor Sport - NCR Leggera 1200 Special

With the NCR Leggera 1200 Special, Ducati tuner NCR is setting two firsts with its titanium clad Hypermotard. Known for making gorgeous work out of already gorgeous motorcycles (NCR Corse Millona One Shot anyone?), none of LCR’s prior creations are destined for a life of street use, and come absent of any lights, mirrors, etc. However, the NCR Leggera 1200 Special is the first NCR that comes out of the crate street legal, and oh…it’s also the lightest Hypermotard in existence, dropping 125 lbs off the stock Ducati Hypermotard…it’s not bad looking either.
Coming with the usual NCR look and feel, the NCR Leggera 1200 Special is based of the Hypermotard 1100, and comes with a titanium frame that weighs only 10.6 lbs, just like the NCR Leggera. Other trick bits include the carbon-ceramic brakes and carbon bodywork and wheels. But while the base NCR Leggera comes with a stock DS 1100 motor, the NCR Leggera 1200 Special features a completely re-worked motor from NCR Corse.

To achieve the extra “umpf”, NCR has two motor tune packages for the Leggera. The Big Bore Kit takes the 1100cc motor and bumps it up to 1160cc’s, which is good for 125 hp. However, real go-fast enthusiasts will want the full NCR Corse engine treatment, which really puts the “Special” in the NCR Leggera 1200 Special’s name.
As you might have guessed, displacement gets pushed further up into the 1200cc range, while titanium valves and other work put the maximum horsepower figure at 132 hp. The need for speed won’t be cheap though, as the NCR Leggera 1200 Special costs an additional arm and leg over the $72,000 price tag of the base Leggera.

The Machine

The Machine Performance
The Machine Performance
For the first time in the Championship's history, a builder from Belarus brought a bike to Sturgis and was duly rewarded with third place for his efforts. Yuri Shif, the proprietor of Yuri Shif Customs, took inspiration from German '30s race cars for the styling of his long, low bike and then took the German influence even further by joining two early BMW Boxer engines at the cranks.

Not satisfied with the engineering needed to achieve that feat he then reversed the rear pair of heads to allow him to feed all four inlet ports via a supercharger.

The Machine was built in 2010, but it could have been easily built even 70 years ago.

This motorcycle could be considered as a real respect content to all romantics and enthusiasts af all times and generations, to the ones who like speed and freedom.

Custom AKOO Yamaha R1
Presented at the Magic International Trade Show in Las Vegas, this customized Yamaha YZF-R1 is a collaboration between American rapper T.I. AKOO’s clothing brand and custom sportbike designer and builder Rob Uecker of Voodoo Industries.

Dubbed the AKOO YZF-R1, the bike sports a wooden veneer paint job mixed with what looks like Alcantara or suede on the side and bikini fairings and saddle and mounts a massive Avon 300mm custom rear tire, a unique single swingarm built by C&S Customs and RC Components Czar Eclipse custom wheels.

“What makes this Yamaha R1 so unique is the unusual mixture of textures and materials,” stated Uecker. “When I look at the AKOO brand I see classic, rugged American styling. But I know T.I. is a serious rider, so it was important to me to accentuate the R1’s aggressive street stature. I worked closely with the AKOO design team to translate those aesthetics onto the Yamaha canvas, and the result is the best sportbike I have ever built.”

In the mid ’90s, Donald Atchison, a mechanical engineer and lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, was busy traveling the world as the head of Business Development for a manufacturing firm located in Boulder, Colorado. Long periods of time spent on overseas flights gave way to hours of sketches of the ideal street bike. Later, while enrolled in the MBA program at CU Boulder, Donald went back to his sketches and considered developing the bike as a school project. That idea evolved into another concept: the plan to open an exclusive motorcycle boutique - surprisingly, in the hippest part of downtown Denver - that included obscure, high-end furnishings, lighting, apparel, timepieces, artwork and motorcycle accessories. Atchison decided to take the entrepreneurial route and successfully sold other people’s goods for the next few years.

After much frustration dealing with manufacturers and distributors and complete dissatisfaction with the current landscape of the motorcycle market, Atchison revisited his napkin sketches and formed ECOSSE Moto Works, Inc. in October 2001. After three complete prototype iterations, countless hours of computer-aided and real-world testing, his masterpiece was ready.

Inspired by elements from all his favorite types of bikes, including his own desire for exclusive, hard-to-get items, The Heretic motorcycle was born. Atchison had created something very distinctive: a true work of art that actually performed as advertised. Using his affection for airplanes (the prototypes are numbered in true experimental aircraft form; X-3 denoting Experimental Number 3 from which all 100 production bikes are based) and European sports cars, The Heretic combines an extraordinary attention to detail with the finest materials and components in the world as well as unrivaled personalized service.

The company tagline sums up the objective perfectly: exquisitely engineered for a fortunate few.

Today, ECOSSE Moto Works is known worldwide as the premier luxury marque of innovative motorcycles created specifically for discerning enthusiasts. The models - each with a distinctive character and soul - are built to the highest standards of craftsmanship using the most exotic materials in never-before-seen designs.

2011 Triumph Sprint ST sports touring

2011 Triumph Sprint ST sports touring

Five years after Triumph introduced the popular 1050cc Sprint ST sports touring bike, the British marque has introduced a new model with greater practicality and more emphasis on the ‘touring’ aspect of ‘sports touring’: the Triumph Sprint GT.

As you would expect from a British machine wearing the famous Grand Tourer tag, the Sprint GT delivers outstanding real world performance in a practical and stylish package. But this should not construed that the Sprint GT has lost the sporting edge that made the Sprint ST one of the most popular and enduring bikes in the Triumph range.

Of course, practicality is the GT’s hallmark. The bike also features new 31 liter panniers, standard ABS brakes, a 200-mile fuel range, an optional top box that is capable of accommodating two full-sized helmets, and a 12 volt power supply that allows ‘on the go’ charging of electrical items such as laptops and mobile phones.

The result is a motorcycle with a different feel to the Sprint ST, biased more towards the ‘touring’ side of sports touring than the Sprint ST’s ‘sports’ – a composed machine with precise and intuitive handling to keep up with sports bikes on demanding roads, but equally delivering the comfort required for a long two-up ride cross-country.

Priced at $13,199, the Sprint GT will be available in US dealerships this fall as early release 2011 models.
